Recapping Brooklyn’s 81st Police Community Council Precinct meeting

Inside the auditorium of Brooklyn Public School 309, Deputy Inspector Scott M. Henderson, Tuesday, April 9, introduced himself to residents of the area. This was his debut as Commanding Officer of the 81st Precinct to the community.

Deputy Inspector Scott M. Henderson was formerly a commanding offer of NYPD’s 88th Precinct, several blocks away in Fort Greene. See him in other news.

During the Police Community Council (PCC) meeting Mr. Henderson seemed very comfortable . As he did on Monday’s Community Board 3 Meeting in Bed-Stuy. His amicable introductions sparked side conversations that from earshot sounded optimistic about police community relations in the area.

As elected officials begin their rounds of introductions to Mr. Henderson, you may get to see him without a scheduled appointment. On Saturday, May 3rd. Mr. Henderson, along with his colleagues will be viewing the play Alive! 55+ and kicking’ at at the MAMA Foundation for the arts in Harlem.

According to the PCC, proceeds from the event go toward a scholarship fund for children living within the precinct. MAMA Foundation for the arts is located inside the Dempsey Theater, 127 127th Street, Harlem, New York. Tickets are $35 or $45 dollars depending on your choice of purchase.
