On Thursday, November 19th, the first ever FREE Healthy Holiday Event will take place at Gateway Center Mall. Presented by AlphaCare. The Healthy Holiday Event will focus on the lifestyles and health of New York’s senior community, and will provide healthy living tips and tricks just in time for the holidays. The event will take place from 10am to 3pm, and will feature giveaways, a live jazz band, free turkey raffles, refreshments, free mobile device consultations from tech specialists, exercise tips, and much more.

In partnership with East New York Restoration LDC, the Healthy Holiday Event’s spotlight is aimed toward the senior community, and strives to make healthy living information readily  available for seniors in and around the East Brooklyn area. The Event’s ambition is to relieve the stress of the holidays by educating seniors on how to easily handle a healthy diet, beauty, exercise routines, and technology. By doing so, AlphaCare, hopes the shared positive outlooks and easy to understand knowledge on everyday health that will serve seniors and all other attendees well beyond the holiday months.

Refreshments will be served courtesy of ShopRite, Bloomfresh, and Pizza Studio. The event will feature a certified nutritionist, just in time for Thanksgiving, a demonstration on easy do-it-yourself beauty routines, Brooklyn Sports Club trainers on how to incorporate exercise into daily routines, and a tech table with explanations and shortcuts for today’s most popular technological devices.

The Holiday Health Event will be held inside a heated tent located in Gateway Center Mall, 501 Gateway Drive, Brooklyn, NY 11239, in the ShopRite parking lots, J1 and J2. All admissions are free.

JIG Media and Brooklyn Shuttle will be providing free transportation for groups of seniors to and from specific locations. To find out where the pickup locations are, or to have your church or senior center involved in the event, contact Nikkia Rivera at or call 718-285-9351
