C’mon and help for prom
Prom is one of those once-in-a-lifetime events that marks the culmination of the high school experience. This year, two organizations will be providing free prom attire to low-income, graduating, high school students. Help them complete their mission of making this year’s prom special for scores of high school students.
On Saturday, April 12 Operation PROM, will be given away donated prom attire for high school students in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area. Volunteers are needed Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12. For details call Dawn at 917.306.5056 or email Shaniqua@helpprom.org.
On Saturday, April 19, Project East New York will be giving away prom dresses to high school students in the East New York area. They are currently accepting dresses. You may drop off your prom attire this Saturday, April 12 at Gershwin JHS see map. For details call Luwana Staley, at 917.342.2072 or email Projecteny11207@gmail.com.
