2nd Annual East Brooklyn 5K Run/Walk A Success!
On Saturday, September 19th, the 2nd annual East Brooklyn 5k Run/Walk was a great success! At around 7:30 AM, the runners arrived to check in where they received their t-shirts, bibs, wrist band and water bottle, and after a quick warm-up provided by one of the fantastic instructors, the runners lined up in the streets and proceeded to run! The walkers followed behind, and everyone made it to the finish line where they got their picture taken and received a medal. The top 6 runners received recognition from Melinda Perkins of East New York Restoration. Our top 6 runners (3 male/3 female) were:
Martin Daniel (#51; time was 19:12)
Christian Granados (#33; time was 19:15)
Jaron Benjamin (#138; time was 20:29)
Stephanie Williams (#126; time was 25:21)
Kat McKim (#165; time 25:45)
Lean Nedd (#176; time 26:01)
